Late Fees

A late fee will be charged if raw content is not ready to edit at least a week ahead of the release date.

$50 Late Fee if content is ready to edit less than a week from release date, and an additional $75 Late Fee if content is ready to edit less than 3 days before release date.

If files are received over the weekend and require editing during the weekend to ensure that content is ready to release on the following Monday, an additional $50 rush fee will be added to the late fee total.

It is essential that clients send their files in a timely manner to ensure the quality of their content as well as respecting the time and schedule of our editor. Late files can interfere with the production of other clients’ projects, so we ask that this is respected.

Meetings

Meetings requested by clients must be scheduled through Calendly and are charged at an hourly rate of $40 unless they are already included in the client’s plan. Excessive cancellations, rescheduling, or tardiness may result in removing meetings from your plan and requiring individual scheduling with the $40 hourly rate.

Hours of Operation

Our hours of operation are Monday through Thursday with meeting times available from 9am to 5pm CT. Communication made outside of these hours will not receive a response until the next work day.

Content Storage and Management

Raw files of recordings are downloaded and kept on our machines for the last three projects and are then deleted. We do not back up your raw recording files for future use, this is left to the client to store and manage.

Edited files are only kept on our machines for the last three projects as well, but they are backed up in the cloud either on the client’s Descript account or our Descript account and can also be stored in clients’ cloud storage if desired. If we provide additional cloud storage via Google Drive, it is only for the purposes of file transferring and the last three projects are the only ones kept in our Google Drive.

It is highly recommended that clients have their own Descript account and add our editor as an editor on their Descript drive. This ensures that raw files and edited projects are backed up and will remain in the clients’ possession even if they cancel our services. If clients opt for us to use our Descript account, a fee may be charged for future access to projects if they have canceled our services, in such a case, it is recommended that clients have their own cloud backup of raw and edited files for their own future access.

Project Length

Pricing listed for plans are for episodes up to 60 minutes in length before editing, additional $35 per 30 minutes will be added for projects over 60 minutes in length. Lower pricing may be available for regular content over 60 minutes or under 30 minutes if it will be that length on a regular basis.

Billing

We bill on the 28th of every month and will send an invoice to be paid on that day. Late payments can result in a pausing of future services until payment is made. Multiple card payment options are available through Melio, although card usage fees will be paid by the customer through Melio. AHC payments are available through GoCardless and are charged automatically. If clients have a business account with Relay, free bank transfers are available as well.

Subscription pricing rates are available for clients who will have regularly scheduled recurring content. Subscription billing is available verses a per episode for such clients where the price is calculated based on content type and quantity released on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis for a whole year or the remainder of the year, and then divided into a monthly rate. The subscription billing structure is not a discount in and of itself, but reduced rates are available to clients who also qualify for this billing structure, rather it is meant to make automatic monthly billing simple for the client and for us.

New Clients

The first release date must be two weeks from initial consultation for the first month of content with a new client to ensure that all design and edits meet the expectations of client and so they can be templatized as much as possible to make editing smooth and consistent. If two weeks are not available, a rush fee of $50+ per episode will be added unless otherwise discussed. The first month of content with a new client will be priced at the normal rate to compensate for extra work involved with onboarding and they will receive reduced subscription rates starting from the second month of service.
